No Call Policy
Imagine one evening that you're relaxing at
home with your family. The phone rings and when you answer it, the voice
on the other end says "Hi, I'm Doctor So & So, I understand you're new in
town and wondered if you might consider me for your family doctor." Now,
you might think this scenario is absurd; professionals don't cold call
people to solicit business, that's what salespeople do. Professionals
build their business by referral. That’s what I do… "build my business by
referral"... I am a Professional REALTOR®.
I don't know about you, but
I really resent salespeople calling me. If a business sends me something
by mail, I can choose when and if I give it attention, but salespeople on
the phone are an invasion of my privacy and disturb my family time.
Therefore, Tom Scaglione, REALTOR®,
has a policy that's rather unique in the Real Estate industry and is
simply as follows:
I do not call anyone who's
registered for any of my services or ordered any of my materials, unless
I've established a relationship or they ask me to call. PERIOD. I only
communicate via email unless directed by you otherwise.
Now, many of my colleagues
think this policy is crazy, but I think the consumer appreciates having
their privacy respected. If you appreciate being serviced when you ask for
my assistance, rather than feeling sold to, I hope you'll reward me by
letting others know about me and the unique way I practice Real Estate.
